Do you mind, to keep in mind, what's on your mind?

Have you ever thought about how much your reality differs from another person's reality?

Do you often say something vague and expect the other person to understand exactly what you mean, even if you have a lot of information in your own head?

The older I get the more I realise how different experiences and knowledge each person on earth have.

Each of us own our own reality depending of what we know.

To be aware of this is an advantage, because if you keep in mind what's on your mind you might be able to communicate the complete picture and not just half of it.

But the receiver of the information might also consider asking for some more information in case he or she doesn't really get it.

He or she might also have to be patient if the other person isn't thinking of telling all the necessary information.

Things to ask yourself
  • What's the subject we are talking about? What's the difference in knowledge?
  • Do I use to forget explaining the whole picture when it comes to this area?
  • Do we communicate in a language I am not used to?
  • Are there many abbreviations that could be unknown to the other person?
  • Do I think that the other person can read my mind because of previous experiences?

How often does it happen to you that a person doesn't follow you?
Have you got an example to share?

Mission to create a new reality of relaxation

I have a mission to create images of how I am relaxed in situations where I am normally not very relaxed.

This is part of the Uneståhl Mental Training course (UMT).

This is really a challenging mission.

To create an image of relaxation in my mind seems almost impossible, but I know it's not.
I can do this! I just need to practice a lot!

I can't help thinking of my German lessons where my teacher used to start the lesson with a relaxation exercise. I really felt reluctant to practice mental training during my German lessons, but this teacher didn't mind. He considered it to be an excellent idea.

What we needed to do was to imagine that we visited a nice, secure place, our own mental room.
I am sure this exercise can be a really good thing, not just during German lessons.

Therefore, what I certainly need to do is - create an image of myself enjoying to create a mental image where I am relaxed.

Isn't this something?
Do you think I will succeed?
